What is Blu-World.co.uk?
The Blu-World project aims helping the many fans of Blu-Ray all over the world, who want to know more about the Blu-Ray editions released in the UK, particularly by providing information on the audio tracks, subtitles and market prices.
Whenever possible, we try to provide accurate information on the type of language used (e.g. Portuguese (Portugal) vs Portuguese (Brazil)).

Does Blu-World have information on Blu-ray editions of other countries besides the United Kingdom?
For now, Blu-World contains only information about the UK editions. However, depending on the success of the project and users requests, we may cover editions of other countries in a near future.

May I buy blu-rays from Blu-World?
No. Blu-World does not sell blu-rays. However, the site provides a link that allows the user to navigate directly into a Blu-ray page on the Amazon.co.uk site, where he is able to make a purchase.

How may I help your site?
The users can contribute to the success of the site in several ways:

Adding information, including subtitles and audio tracks existing in every blu-ray.
Using the links on our the site to shop at Amazon.co.uk.
Providing feedback to our team (indicating errors, giving suggestions, etc.).

How often is information updated?
The site information is updated several times per week, including the list of Amazon blu-rays, their features, prices and currency values for the pound.
You can check the last update date on the right bottom of any Blu-World page.

What is the difference between the various shown prices?
Currently, Blu-World works in partnership with the British Amazon, which sells products directly to users or through its partners in the MarketPlace. As such, our site displays 3 different types of prices:

Amazon price – It is the price of the blu-ray, in new condition, sold directly by Amazon, and is equivalent to the price displayed directly on the original product page at Amazon.co.uk.
Amazon/Marketplace Price – It is the lowest selling price of the blu-ray, in new condition, sold by Amazon or its partners (Marketplace).
Amazon/Marketplace Price (New or Used) – corresponds to the best price of blu-ray (new or used), sold directly by Amazon or its partners (Marketplace).

What is Amazon Marketplace?
Besides the products that Amazon sells directly to the user, Amazon also has a Marketplace, a concept of selling items by Amazon partners. This means that the user can buy a product directly from Amazon or from one of its partners, even without leaving Amazon site.
The major advantage of Marketplace is that in many cases there are better prices, i.e., a Amazon partner selling the same item with a lower price.

The items sold by Amazon Marketplace are new or used?
Amazon Marketplace can sell new or used items. In both cases, there is a clear identification of the product type (New or Used).

What other costs might be associated with my order?
Besides the presented price, the user may need to pay:

Delivery Costs. If you buy something directly from Amazon, you will pay X for the delivery, plus Y for each item. If you buy something at the Amazon Marketplace, you will pay Z for each item. More information inAmazon Delivery Rates e em Amazon Marketplace Delivery Rates.
VAT differences. For countries of the European Union (EU) with VAT value different from UK (15%), Amazon will charge the VAT of that country, instead of the UK VAT. More information in VAT Rates.
For countries outside EU, user could be asked to pay custom taxes, charged when receiving the order. More information in Customs.

On the page of each blu-ray, we already present detailed information about all these additional costs (with the exception of custom taxes to countries outside EU).

How often is the currency rate information updated?
The currency rates are updated several times per week.
You can check the last update date on the right bottom of any Blu-World page.

The blu-ray I seek is not listed…
The most frequent cause for a certain blu-ray not to be listed are the audio or subtitles filters. At the top of each page there are two fields where the user indicates which blu-rays to display depending on audio or subtitles preferences. If both fields have “Any”/”Any” option selected, all the blu-rays existing in the database will appear.
If the blu-ray you seek still does not appears listed, please contact us at data@blu-world.co.uk.

Only a small number of blu-rays with the audio/subtitles I want are displayed...
Unfortunately, many blu-rays do not have information about the audio and subtitles included.
This means that there could be many blu-rays with the audio or subtitles that you seek, but neither Amazon, our internal team, or any user of the website added that information.

How do I add audio/subtitles to a not listed blu-ray?
Choose the options "Any"/"Any" on the audio/subtitles filters for the system to display all blu-rays of the database. Choose the blu-ray, enter the information, and change back the filters values according to your preference.

Which are the information sources of Blu-World?
The information on our site is obtained in four ways:

 Information provided by Amazon.co.uk.
Information entered by our staff based on online information (distributors websites, studios websites, etc.).
Information entered by our staff through direct access to blu-rays (purchased, supplied by distributors, etc.).
 Information entered by our users.

Is Blu-World information completely reliable?
Considering how information is obtained, Blu-World may occasionally contain inaccurate information.
Amazon may contain errors in their database, some of our staff members can make an error in a data entry, or users of our site can give inaccurate data.
This means that the existance of errors is always a possibility. However, if there is a considerable number of votes to confirm a certain information, the reliability of that information becomes very high.

Is it worth voting if the bluray page already has correct information?
As more people vote, the credibility of the information presented to users increase, and the greater the confidence that they will have on the presented information.

May I use the add audio/subtitles form to make my votes?
Yes, if it is to make positive votes. Adding information that already exists (audio or subtitles), has the same impact as voting in favor of that information. This means that if you wish to make several votes on the same blu-ray (for example, confirm all existing subtitles in a Blu-ray), even if someone has already entered this information, it can be more convenient to use the add audio/subtitle form page to perform this operation.
If you vote against a subtitle (for example, to indicate that a user has entered some wrong information), then these votes are required to be made one by one in the blu-ray details page.
